Chicago's premier Cat Cafe within a humane society

Cats and Coffee-does it get any better than that? Welcome to the Tree House Humane Society's Cat Cafe-a place to meet cool cats, drink great coffee, and connect with friends. All the cats in our Cafe Lounge are 100% adorable and 100% adoptable! Make a reservation today--all ages welcome!

The Tree House Cat Cafe is pleased to introduce new yoga classes! Relax and unwind with our cats on Sundays (10:30am - 11:45am) or Mondays (5:30 pm - 6:45 pm) for an hour of yoga (plus 15 minutes of kitty play time afterward) lead by a professional yoga instructor--the cats will help lead poses, too! Classes start January 26, 2020.

Hours: Thursday thru Sunday, 12PM - 6PM. The kitties take a nap from 3:00PM - 3:30PM.

The Cat Cafe is made possible thanks to the generosity of Glenn & Rachel Rippie, proud pet parents of Mocha and Latte.

Meet the Cats!

These cuddly cats can't wait to spend time with you in the cafe. And, the best part - they are all available for adoption!

In 2016, Tree House opened its first feline leukemia adoption colony. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is the cause of a variety of diseases in cats. As a retrovirus, it replicates itself inside living cells, making it impossible to cure. FeLV+ cats live on average three years after diagnosis, but each cat is different.

Not many shelters have adoption programs for FeLV+ cats, but with our resources at Tree House, we knew we could help!

Our FeLV+ adoption program is essential to the well-being of cats that have tested positive and have limited options for placement. This program is an essential part of our mission and vision that no cat suffers and every cat thrives. This program is an extension of those core values.

We are happy to have the opportunity to serve a population of under served animals that deserve a chance to find a home. By supporting our Cat Cafe and spending time with our FeLV+ colony cats, you too are participating in our live-saving efforts.
